By becoming a volunteer with Pura Vida Youth, you have the ability to share your talents and time with our residents. We recognize that we could not provide the same high-caliber support and services for our residents, without the help of all of our volunteers.

How old do I have to be to volunteer?

There are no age limits for volunteering generally but many organizations set age restrictions that reflect the level of responsibility or experience needed.

What are the steps for becoming a volunteer?

To become a volunteer with Pura Vida Youth, you must register and fill out an application form, attend a brief interview and orientation session, and you must pass a background check.

What skills do you need?
A.
This really depends on the opportunity that you are interested in - some roles require specialized skills, including being able to speak a particular language (for example if you are helping out a particular ethnic community). However, don't let this stop you from exploring unchartered territory - many organizations will train you in specific areas without prior knowledge, and you will certainly develop new skills as you go along!

How much time do I need to volunteer?
